
The Hybrid 25th International Nursing Philosophy Conference
Join the UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing Center for Nursing Philosophy in association with the International Philosophy of Nursing Society (IPONS) for the first-ever hybrid 25th International Nursing Philosophy Conference.
This year’s theme is “What has philosophy ever done for nursing anyway?”
This hybrid, multidisciplinary conference will showcase the generative relations between philosophy and nursing through a series of invited keynote speakers and panel events. Cutting-edge peer-reviewed abstract panels on current scholarship and ideas in nursing philosophy will also be featured.

This year’s conference will be held at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.
Built on seven acres on the crest of a hill adjacent to the campus of the University of California, Irvine, the Beckman Center is a beautiful, serene setting that belies its location in the heart of Orange County.
Those attending in person will be required to present proof of vaccination before entering the conference setting.
The conference will be a hybrid event. You will have the option to register for the live or virtual event.
Our speakers and panel sessions will be in person. To allow for participation from around the globe, where travel and time zones may preclude attendance, all events in the main room will be streamed live via Zoom for a special registration rate.
Those attending in person will be required to present proof of vaccination before entering the conference setting.
