Nominate an exceptional nursing faculty member for a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty!

The DAISY Faculty Award was created to recognize and celebrate the contributions that faculty members make to the future of nursing. Faculty members serve as role models for compassionate and exemplary practice for our students. These faculty members demonstrate an inspirational influence on students that is translated to patients.

About the Award

Eligibility Criteria:

Faculty members who are nominated for the DAISY faculty award are individuals who consistently demonstrate all of the following criteria:

  • Have a profound impact on the future practice of their nursing students.
  • Uses personal attributes (e.g., caring, compassion, empathy) that encourages learning.
  • Inspires and motivates students.
  • Develops collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues, or the community.

Nomination Process:

Nominations for the DAISY Faculty Award are accepted from UCI students, fellow faculty members and community leaders. Please use the electronic nomination form below.

May 24, 2024

Selection Committees:

The Daisy Award Committee comprised of faculty and staff from the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing.

Presentation of Awards:

Award recipients are announced at the spring pinning ceremony.
