Biography
Alyssa Rios began her nursing career in the ER in 2011, where she developed a strong passion for preventive care. This led her to become an adult-geriatric primary care nurse practitioner in 2017, focusing on bringing healthcare directly to seniors through mobile practice. In addition to patient care, she has worked to bridge gaps in care by leading teams, mentoring new clinicians, and developing educational programs aimed at improving patient outcomes. More recently, she played a key role in developing and launching the first Institutional Special Needs Plan (I-SNP) and establishing the first clinical team at SCAN. Her work continues to center on enhancing healthcare accessibility, quality, collaboration, and education for both patients and providers.
