Biography

Kim Hicks is an HS Clinical Instructor in the UC Irvine Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing. Kim is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Education (DNE) program at The Ohio State University College of Nursing with an expected graduation date of May 2026. Kim received her Master of Science in Nursing-Education from Western Governors University and was a part of the second graduating class to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science from UC Irvine. Prior to this appointment, Kim worked at UCI Health as a staff nurse in the surgical/trauma ICU for eight years and was the Charge Nurse in the cardiovascular/medical ICU for six years. In addition to working at the bedside, Kim also worked as a clinical instructor for 11 years.
