Welcome to the UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing. We’re an energetic, diverse and inclusive community that shares a core commitment to improve health and bring about a better world, especially for vulnerable populations. While we are a small school, we’re well versed in using our strengths strategically to maximize the impact of our research, teaching and practice.
We believe that what differentiates us from other schools of nursing is the social justice lens with which we approach patient care. We are advocates, inventors and influencers who lead in lessening vulnerability, promoting social, racial and environmental justice and delivering compassionate nursing care of the highest standard in the most equitable and accessible way possible.
Thanks to a transformational gift from the William and Sue Gross Family Foundation, our school’s new home – the Sue & Bill Gross Nursing and Health Sciences Hall – features a state-of-the art simulation center and advanced technology student learning spaces to better educate and inspire nurses to improve patient outcomes in a world that is facing new and pressing challenges that effect basic health.
