UC Irvine recently hosted Assemblymember Cottie Petrie-Norris’ Young Legislator Program to highlight the cross-section of health sciences and policy with Susanne Phillips (center in lab coat), senior associate dean and professor in the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing. Students learned about the need for individuals of all backgrounds to become experts in their chosen fields and enjoyed a firsthand look at UC Irvine’s state-of-the-art, accredited Nursing Simulation Center with its interactive, high-tech manikins that can mimic real-world experiences.
