It’s back-to-school month at UCI! Meet future nurse Nikki Sincero, class of 2025.
My mom, a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) at our local nursing home has always been my inspiration. Growing up, I continually visited her workplace, got to meet her coworkers and patients, and fell in love with the opportune impacts the nursing field can have on other’s lives, and the ever-changing growth of the medical field that I hope to actively contribute to as a future registered nurse myself.
I chose UCI’s School of Nursing because of its excellent resources and enriching environment. Not just due to UCI’s campus alone, but the positive reputation of its supportive staff and those who’ve graduated from its nursing program.
Classes haven’t even officially started and yet I’ve already met/talked to some fellow incoming nursing majors, as well as our advisors, and everyone is so kind, supportive and excited to get started. I absolutely cannot wait for the next four years at UCI and I am so grateful I get to be a part of this community.
What’s one fun fact about you?
I’ve been playing the piano for the past 11 years and I absolutely love playing it at my church. I’m grateful for the opportunity; music is my creative outlet of expression and also just a cool way to experiment and learn new things as I go!
