  • 172 enrolled in the baccalaureate program
  • 130 enrolled in graduate programs
  • 100% pass rate on National NP Board Certified exams
  • 83.33% NCLEX passing rate for BS students, 95.24% for MS students
  • 8 to 1 student/faculty ratio in labs and clinical courses
  • 948 alumni and counting!
  • 40% underrepresented minorities

  • 100% have advanced degrees

  • Over $13 million in total sponsored research project funding
  • Faculty research projects contribute to the improvement of health and health care in areas such as oncology, HIV/AIDS, pediatrics, self-care, mental health, women’s health, clinical policy, and nursing education.

MISSION

At the UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, we dedicate ourselves to the education of nursing professionals who will improve patient care and promote population health, locally and globally. We strive to produce leaders in research, education, and clinical practice who will champion collaborative, compassionate, and interdisciplinary evidence-based practice.

VISION

Our school’s strategic framework is based on our statement of belief. From this statement, we derived four pillars that frame ten intentions. These intentions will guide our actions as a nursing school. These intentions lead to 10 strategic priorities. When we look back over the five years, the ultimate measure of achieving these priorities will not be whether we checked boxes saying that we accomplished each priority. Rather, it will be whether we lived our intentions. The ultimate measure of achieving our strategic priorities will be whether we did what we did with humanity in mind.
