Dr. DiClemente is Professor and Chair, Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences, Professor,
Department of Epidemiology, and Associate Dean, Public Health Innovation, College of Global Public
Health, New York University. Dr. DiClemente is an internationally recognized expert in developing
implementation science interventions to enhance the uptake, adoption and sustainability of HIV/STD
prevention programs in the community; and enhancing vaccine uptake among high-risk adolescents and
women, such as HPV and influenza vaccine. He has also developed diabetes screening and behavior
change interventions, blending personalized public health, community and technology-based approaches
designed to optimize program effectiveness and enhance programmatic sustainability. He is author of 10
CDC-defined evidence-based interventions for adolescents and young African American women and men.
