Compassion Crisis, Coping with COVID-19 and Cascading Collective Trauma
Featuring E. Alison Holman, Professor, UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing
Date: May 6, 2021
Time: 1:30PM – 3PM
We are living through a period marked by cascading collective crises — the pandemic, mass unemployment, climate-related disasters, civil unrest due to structural racism, and a divisive political climate that fuels the spread of disinformation.
Health professionals have responded with great compassion and dedication, but many are struggling to cope with overwhelming grief and PTSD. This talk will address how compassion can help us cope with these cascading crises.
