You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • Undergraduate/graduate student at UCI
  • Are 18-25 years old
  • Feeling a low or depressed mood for at least 2 weeks
  • Speak and understand English

Why participate?

This is an NIMH-funded research study at the University of California, Irvine School of Nursing. Your participation will help us to develop a mobile app for college students struggling with mental health.

What will you do?

We invite you to complete a short survey online. Also, in a virtual small group via Zoom, we will ask you to talk about your experience and needs related to mental health and ideas about a mobile app. You will also be invited to participate in 3 workshop sessions which focus on the design of the mobile app.

What will you get for participating?

$30 gift card for completing the survey and participating in small group discussion. Total time involved is 1 1⁄2 hours. $30 gift card for participation in each design workshop. Total time involved in each design workshop is 1 1⁄2 to 2 hours. An additional $30 gift card if you participate in the small group discussion and all 3 design workshops.

We are looking for undergraduate/graduate students at UCI (18-25 years old). We are also looking for students who have recently felt stressed, down, depressed or had low mood.
