A team of researchers at the UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing writesenior woman going through stress and trauma receiving care from a nurse that 2020 has had so many stressful events that public health is endangered.

This is especially true among the most vulnerable populations.

As the world grappled with numerous traumatic events in 2020, it all unfolded in real-time in the media. This has led to intense stress among the public and taxed its ability to cope. 

The stress of these events endangers those with existing health disparities the most.
