In addition to offsetting the cost of tuition, outside nursing-specific scholarships introduce you to organizations that can broaden your idea of what a nurse can accomplish and how nurses are needed in today’s society.

Founded in 1952, the NSNA is a nonprofit organization for students enrolled in associate, baccalaureate, diploma and generic graduate nursing programs. It is dedicated to fostering the professional development of nursing students.
The NSNA sponsors two national conferences each year, publishes Imprint Magazine and provides scholarship and leadership opportunities for its members.
The CNSA is the California constituent of the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA). This association sponsors an annual conference open to all members. Resources such as scholarship opportunities, job postings and legislative information are also provided by the CNSA.
The Program in Nursing Science invites you to join the Nursing Science Student Association at UC Irvine (NSSA@UCI). This student group connects undergraduates to the nursing profession through activities such as lectures and organized trips.
